Q: Can I phone my Guide?
A: With different time zone being a concern, the preferred form of communication with your guide should be through email. Our guides appreciate the convenience of a phone conversation; however, they would prefer to communicate by email. Taking into consideration their busy schedules and time zone differences. Our hard working guides discover that having an email conversation is the most effective way to meet multiple needs in an efficient manner. Thanks to our screening and recruitment process, BidTourz can assure its travelers that ALL of their guides are fluent in the English language and for your peace-of-mind, the guide's cell phone number is provided to our travelers for emergency calls only once the tour is booked and confirmed.
Q: Am I able to share the cost of the tour with other travelers?
A: Yes! Each tour has a limit on its seating. As long as you stay within the limits of your respective tour, you will not pay any extra fee (See the Tour Bio that appear before tour selection for more detail).
Q: After I have booked a tour, can I invite others to join me?
A: Some tourz have pay-by-the-person amounts, and other tourz allow anyone up to a maximum limit. You are allowed to bring anyone up to that maximum limit (See the Tour Bio that appear before tour selection for more detail).
Q: Once I've selected my tour, will I receive an itinerary with details of the tour?
A: Once you have selected and booked your tour, a complete itinerary will be emailed to you. This itinerary will contain all Guide contact information, as well as the needed details of your specific tour.
Q: What should I do if my guide is not at the meeting location?
A: Our guides are professionals, but on a rare occasion, something happens that keeps the guide from making the tour. If they are not able to make the tour, they WILL contact you. If for whatever reason they do not, please feel free to call them directly. Their contact information can be found on your itinerary. If you still cannot reach them, please feel free to contact our support line at 1-877-599-0676.
Q: Do I need to tip my guide?
A: Our guides submit a bid amount that includes a tip. If for some reason you feel the need to give a tip for above and beyond service, we ask that you do so in the form of cash.
Q: Once I have selected my tour. Will I hear from my guide before the day of the tour?
A: Yes! The guide will call you the night before your tour, going over the last minute details with you. This will give you the peace of mind to know that all is well for your upcoming tour.
Q: If I get sick before the tour, can I cancel and if so will I be charged the cost of the Tour?

Q: Do I have to be at my vacation site to schedule a tour?
A: No! You can select your dates and start your auction from anywhere you’d like. You just need to enter the zip code of the place you will be vacationing. This will allow us to find guides and tourz in that specific area.
Q: Are GPS location services required to start a tour auction?
A: No! GPS location services allow you to be easily located once you have arrived at your vacation destination. You are also able to insert the zip code or exact address of your vacation site while scheduling your auction from home.
Q: What if I don't like the Tourz that reply to my auction. Do I have to pick one?
A: No, you can simply start again by pressing the “Cancel Auction” button on your handheld device. This will take you back to the beginning where you can choose another category or date.
Q: What if I live in another time zone than my vacation? Will my potential tour guide always be awake and able to respond to my auction request?
A: We understand that International time zones will be a factor in the bidding portion as well as the selection portion. For this reason, all auctions are 24 hours long. This will allow ample time for the guides in different time zones to enter a bid during waking hours. The control over the end time of the auction is still in your hands. The moment you make your selection, the auction ends. This allows you the flexibility to choose sooner or later.
Q: Can I swap days for my tour once I have it scheduled?
A: Our Tour guides are booked up for weeks at a time. At this time, swapping of tour dates in not possible due to the high number of tourz given in a day by our guides.
Q: What kinds of provisions will I need on my tour?
A: During the auction, you will receive the best prices from guides in your area in the form of a bid. To find out more about what special tour provides, simply touch on the bid amount to see short Bio of that specific tour. There, you will find out exactly what you should or should not wear on that specific tour. You will also find out what other provisions are needed during the tour. E.g. sunblock, bug spray, shorts, swimsuit, binoculars, camera, trekking poles, bottled water, and food. We recommend you adhere to that list as it is specific to the activities you will be doing while on that tour.
Q: What if it rains?
A: Rain is very common in many parts of the country; if the weather is too extreme that day, we may need to reschedule for more favorable conditions or issue a refund. The choice will be yours to make.
